I’m just another human. This is a website where you can learn about my professional and semi-professional activities. Contact me to ask questions, send adulations, death threats, and hopefully job offers. Check out my podcasting and science writing work!

In the fall of 2022 I interned at the tech magazine IEEE Spectrum, writing news stories for web and print and contributing to the podcast Fixing the Future. There, I learned how to journalist, and hope to continue learning and doing science reporting for the general public.

Since 2019 (and concurrently with the internship), I have been working in the science communication office at the Joint Quantum Institute at the University of Maryland, making a popular science podcast Relatively Certain and writing research news articles.

I graduated with a PhD in experimental cold atomic physics in May 2019 from the University of Maryland College Park. You can find my publications and thesis here.

Born in Moscow, raised in Brooklyn, spent a decade in Maryland, now back in NYC!
